Amikor elindulunk, hogy egy luxusétteremben töltsünk egy estét, számolunk azzal, hogy az elfogyasztott étel és ital plusz a borravaló kicsit többe kerül majd. De mit szólnánk ahhoz, ha egyetlen pohár vízért 630 000 forintot kellene fizetni?
Az amerikai NASA és a Nemzetközi Ûrállomás ûrhajósai számára ez nem meglepõ. Az ISS ugyanis nyilván a Világegyetem legdrágább szállodája.

Friss vizet ugyanis valóban körülményes feladat ide eljuttatni és költsége évente több millió dollárba kerül. Nem csoda, hogy a Nemzeti Repülési és Ûrkutatási hivatalnak elfogyott a türelme. Az ûrhajósoknak, akik az ISS-en fognak lakni 2009-tõl, már a saját vizeletüket kell inniuk. Ezen kívül saját izzadságukból és a patkányok vizeletébõl készült koktélt
fogyasztanak majd. Természetesen fogyasztás elõtt a folyadékokat egy berendezésen küldik át, amelybõl tiszta vizet kapnak.

Tehát ezentúl nemcsak az ételek igazi izét felejthetik el az ûrhajósok, hanem az ásványvizét is.
